American "Gilded Age"  Antique Gold Frame with Beveled Mirror

• Antique square wall mirror features gesso over pine wood frame, moulded with swirling ancanthus leaves and foliage, beads, ribbons and textural trellis background

• Mirror appears to be made from silver nitrate due to some areas of silver loss.

• The back of the mirror is solidly well built in a framing system for hanging as well as preventing the mirror from falling out. 

• Has a hanging wire which was there when we purchased in the mirror in New York City in the late 1990s
